Day 3

Poukaria to Whakahoro

Another relaxed start. The boys are a great help with carrying the barrels and chilly bins down to the boats.

Ohura River. Definately our favorite place on the river. A number of waterfalls to explore and play in.

If you blink you will miss it . If you are lucky enough to stop you have hours of exploration and fun. A wonderful ledge to jump off and beautiful waterfalls to play in. Amazing.

We paddled into Whakahoro after lunch and unloaded. Trucked all the barrels up to the camp site. A tough carry around 400 metres. It was nice feeling to finally relax knowing we have the next day off.
