Ohinepane to Poukaira

Wake up to the sun shining ... Life is good!

Fairly relaxed start today. It always takes twice as long to tie everything down at the beginning of the trip. A fairly relaxing paddle to Poukaira. No tip outs today.

We arrrived at Poukaira first and scored the primo camp sites. For a while we thought we were the only ones. How wrong were we. Once the next group arrived the site filled up fast. A mixure of freedom hires and guided trips.

We were lucky to see three very fat Kereru perched above our tents. They were very cute until they started pooing on our tents.
