KH8 Boarding: A Home Away From Home
KH8 Boarding provides a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for students to live and learn. Our boarding facilities are designed to help students develop independence, responsibility, and a strong sense of community.
With caring houseparents, modern amenities, and a range of activities, we ensure students feel at home while focusing on their studies and personal growth.
At KH8 Boarding, students build lifelong friendships and valuable life skills in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
It is a privilege to welcome you and your sons to Boys’ Boarding at KH8.
I believe that a boarding house should be far more than simply a place where boys stay during the school term. It should be a genuine home away from home: a place where every boy feels known, heard, supported and valued. Boys may arrive from different families, cultures and parts of the world, but my hope is that they leave with lasting friendships, treasured memories and a true sense of brotherhood. Through shared routines, activities, challenges and celebrations, we aim to nurture camaraderie, fellowship and sportsmanship throughout the House.
My approach to boarding combines warmth and care with clear structure. Routine and discipline are essential, but they must always be applied in a fair, firm and consistent manner. Within those boundaries, boys should have the freedom to enjoy themselves, learn to live alongside others, take initiative and develop the independence, resilience and responsibility that will prepare them for life beyond school.
I bring two decades of educational, pastoral and leadership experience from South Africa and abroad. My career has included leadership roles in Egypt and Malaysia, serving as a Housemaster at Epsom College in Malaysia and working at Taylor’s International School Puchong. My experience within traditional South African boys’ schools includes serving as a housemaster to day boys at Glenwood High School, as a tutor at Westville Boys’ High School, and as an assistant grade head and tutor at SACS High School. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation of boys’ education and of the traditions, relationships and sense of belonging that allow a boarding community to flourish.
At KH8, my aim is to work closely with our boys, families and staff to build a thriving, healthy and inclusive House while encouraging more pupils to make boarding part of their school experience. For both local and international boarders, I want the House to deepen their connection to our school and to Malaysia; a wonderfully warm and welcoming country that I am proud to call home.
I look forward to welcoming every boy into our House and to watching them live, learn, lead and grow together.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to a new school year!
Whether you are returning to campus or joining our boarding community for the first time, I am truly excited to welcome you and to introduce myself.
With over 15 years of dedicated experience in a boarding environment, I am thrilled to be joining KH8 this year. It is a privilege to be part of a community that values connection, care, and the personal growth of every student. My goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and supportive space where all the girls under my care feel valued and empowered. I am passionate about fostering a boarding experience that allows each of you to thrive—both personally and academically—and to truly feel at home here.
To the returning girls, I very much look forward to getting to know you and continuing the traditions and spirit that make this community so special. And to the new girls joining us, I am excited to welcome you into the KH8 family. We are so glad you’re here, and I can't wait to support you as you begin this new chapter.
Together, we will build a positive, inclusive, and inspiring environment where every student can flourish and reach her full potential.
