Greeting From Admin!
Welcome back students, parents and staff, semester two! We have staff additions this year and a few new students as well this semester We thank you for choosing our school. We all work diligently to make holistic learning happen while creating positive relationships. Please feel free to call us at the school if you have any questions or concerns, or perhaps would like to volunteer with the school.
tansi, Claudine Cardinal nisikason, I am so happy to welcome everyone to Kihew Asiniy Education Centre for the 2025–2026 school year! Whether you are returning or joining us for the very first time just know that students, staff, and parents/guardians, you are all an important part of our school family.
This year we are excited to see many new faces, including new teachers and EA’s, as well as familiar faces stepping into new roles. And of course, we celebrate our students moving forward into their next grade levels, we are proud of each and every one of you.
Together, we want to build a school year filled with learning, laughter, and growth. The relationships we create, with students, families, and our community, are what make Kihew Asiniy Education Centre strong. Our staff and I believe deeply in our students and want the very best for them, because they are our future leaders.
When we encourage our students to be leaders, oskapews, helpers, and lifelong learners, we are building up not just individuals, but our whole Nation. We do this with respect, knowledge, compassion, and love. And with your partnership and support, we can carry that spirit far beyond our school doors.
Tansi! My name is Laura Cuthand Wood. I am the new Vice Principal at Kihew Asiniy School this year.
I have been in administration for five years before coming to Saddle Lake. I live in the community with my husband, Earl Wood, and my daughter. I taught grade six and seven here in the community and met a lot of the youth.
I was honored to be chosen as Vice Principal because I see so much potential in the young people here in Saddle Lake. I know this school year will be awesome! I hope to see more parents this year.
Parents, you are pivotal to the success of our children. The success of our children depends on team work! Let's go team!!! Hiy Hiy
