What is an Apprenticeship?
As an Apprentice you will be employed by a company to do a real job whilst studying for a formal qualification. You receive a paid salary (at 16 and 18 this can be the minimum wage). However for higher and degree apprenticeships the salary can be higher and will depend on the employer and the industry. Study is usually for one day a week either at a college, training centre or university depending on your age and what level of apprenticeship.
Apprentices in every role follow an approved study programme, which means you'll gain a nationally-recognised qualification
You will Earn, whilst you Learn.
