TECH FUNDRAISER
ATTN: Kerrisdale Elementary School Families,
We recently learned that an entire set of laptops (30 MAC LAPTOPS 🍎) are no longer able to be serviced and are officially out of commission. Our goal is to have replacements ready for September 2025, so students can continue developing essential research and computer literacy skills without disruption.
Students need up-to-date technology to learn, create, and prepare for the future.
Our students use technology every day to engage in meaningful, hands-on learning.
We need to raise $30,000 to purchase a full cart of classroom laptops, ensuring students have the tools they need.
Thanks to this year’s amazing fundraising efforts, our PAC already has $15,000 toward this goal! Now, we need our community’s help to raise the remaining $15,000 — which works out to just ~$50-100 per student.
NOTE: all donations above $20 are tax-deductible
DEADLINE: We are aiming for end of August '25 to purchase and set up for September '25.
HOW TO DONATE

IMPORTANT: Select Kerrisdale Elementary PAC in the Fund Destination under Gift Information.
In the message box, please write “Tech Fundraiser"
We understand not all families can contribute the same amount - whatever you are able to contribute makes a difference. Every dollar counts and 100% of funds go directly to purchasing classroom technology. If we exceed our fundraising expectations then additional funds may be allotted to classroom supplies, sporting equipment, science and art materials, future technology needs, and PAC led community building events.

DID YOU KNOW...
technology is not funded by the Vancouver School Board (VSB)
the only way we can provide updated computers for students is through the PAC's direct fundraising by our PAC
without your support, there is no new school technology.
OUR STUDENTS NEED TECHNOLOGY...
Our students use technology every day to engage in meaningful, hands-on learning:
They conduct research assignments across subjects, developing critical thinking and media literacy.
They participate in BC wide story writing competitions, crafting original pieces and submitting them digitally.
Students take part in Student Vote, learning about democracy and political participation by researching parties and casting their own mock ballots online.
Student Council relies on laptops to design posters, create campaigns, and organize fundraisers, giving students a chance to lead and collaborate using real-world tools.
EVERYONE BENEFITS...
Happier teachers (who won’t have to battle outdated tech!)
Computers that don’t crash as much as a toddler on a sugar high
Kids who actually research using real sources instead of “some guy on YouTube”
A future where your child teaches you how to fix tech issues instead of just rolling their eyes
We are so grateful for the incredible momentum and support from our community—thank you for making a real impact on our students’ learning experience. Let’s give them the tech they deserve (and maybe even save some parental sanity along the way).
Thank you for your support,
Kerrisdale Elementary PAC Executive
