Senior year is packed with a lot of activities beyond the classroom, like COLLEGE APPLICATIONS, FINANCIAL AID (FAFSA), and SCHOLARSHIPS! Below will give you some information that will help you keep organized this school year, as there are a lot of items and deadlines to keep organized! We have a lot of workshops during the school year to help you with college apps and financial aid, so listen out for them and register to attend!
College applications begin in the Fall. You should begin by forming your list of schools you want to apply to. You should begin applications by October. Below you will find some more info on the various applications our students typically experience.

Seniors can use California Colleges to access and launch all of their college applications! This will give them the opportunity to upload their transcript into the applications!
Go to californiacolleges.edu and use your Chromebook credentials to login!
Bakersfield College - BC is a great option for after high school, and THE BEST back-up plan. We recommend ALL students apply to BC (it is free!). BC will come to Stockdale to help you, just listen out for BC workshops and sign up!

CSU Schools - There are 23 campuses in California (including CSUB). These are 4-year Universities with a variety of programs. Application opens in OCTOBER and is due NOVEMBER 30! Listen out for CSU workshops to help you with the applications.
UC Schools - There are 9 campuses in California (none local). These are competitive 4-year Universities with a variety of programs. Application opens in AUGUST and is due NOVEMBER 30! Listen out for UC workshops to help you with the applications.

Private Schools - There are many private campuses in California . These are competitive 4-year Universities with a variety of programs. Many campuses use the Common Application, some have their own! You can begin the application anytime, and deadlines vary.
This is a FREE application for financial aid for college. The application opens October and the deadline to apply is March 2nd. All students should apply for financial aid - regardless of income. Many scholarships require students to have filed a FAFSA application. Application will require: personal information, college information, and income information.
Step 1 : Student and Parent must have FSA ID.
