Students attending a community college are often seeking a certificate for employment OR are looking to transfer to a University after 2 years. Two local options:

Essays AND letters of recommendation are required - you will need to have a student resume created for letters of recommendation.
Students going out of state could be attending a vocational school, community college, or 4-year University (either private or public).

When attending college, you will need to declare a major. This will be what you study while in college and what your degree will be in. Part of high school is finding out what career you want to pursue, and what your major will be in college to work towards that career.
