Use this page to help navigate your high school experience. It details areas of focus for each year in high school.
Below are classes you need to take AND pass to graduate from high school in 4 years. This will allow you to work, go to a vocational/technical school, OR go to Community College.
NOTE: Passing grades for high school graduation are 'D' and above.
3 years of History (World, U.S., 1 semester of Government, 1 semester of Economics)
4 years of English
3 years of Math (including 1 year of Algebra)
2 years of Science (Physical and Life)
1 year of a Foreign Language OR a Fine Art class
1 semester of Health
2 years of PE
65 TOTAL elective credits
Below are the MINIMUM requirements you need to complete to be eligible to apply to 4-year Universities when you are a senior. Completing these does NOT guarantee admissions.
NOTE: you must earn a 'C' or better in each CP class
2 years of History (World and U.S. History)
4 years of English
3 years of Math (including Algebra, Geometry, and Advanced Algebra)
2 years of LAB Science (1 Physical Science and 1 Life Science - this includes Biology and Chemistry)
2 years of a Foreign Language
1 year of a Fine Art
1 year of a College Prep elective
What you should be doing?
Do well in your classes - meet with your counselor if you struggling.
Put together a 4-year plan for your high school academics - this is something the counselors will help you with in January. You should plan to make an appointment with your counselor during this time.

Begin (or continue) involvement in Clubs and other activities on campus
Begin Career Exploration! What do you want to do after high school?

Begin researching colleges and other educational opportunities beyond high school.
Begin planning for the SAT or ACT if colleges you are applying to require the test (check test updates). The PSAT is offered in October - Test Updates HERE

Apply for Financial Aid (FAFSA - deadline March 2 AND Scholarships!)

It is nationally recognized by colleges, universities, and scholarship organizations. CSF emphasizes high standards of scholarship, and academic excellence for California high school students.
Silver Cap & Gown are earned by qualifying for four or more semesters between the 10th and 12th grade years. You need to apply each semester. CLICK HERE
Dual and Concurrent Enrollment are both great opportunities for students to earn college credit
