Ms. Misti Christenberry
Parents and Students,
Hello! I am so excited about this new school year and the great things happening at Kerens Secondary School.
My name is Misti Christenberry and this is my third year at Kerens ISD. This will be my 20th year to teach and I am just as excited as I was my first year! I have taught in multiple school districts including Kemp ISD, Rice ISD, Forney ISD, Mesquite ISD, Gilmer ISD, Lone Oak ISD, and Blooming Grove ISD. I also taught a year at The Crisman School for Learning Disabilities in Longview, TX. I have taught multiple grades and subjects.
I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from Oklahoma Panhandle State University and a Master’s of Science in Human Relations and Business from Amberton University. I also have 9 teaching certifications.
This year I am excited to be teaching Yearbook, Photography I and II, Practicum and Audio/Video Production and I have exciting things planned for these classes.
I grew up in the Texas Panhandle in the small town of Dalhart, TX. I spent my entire childhood in Dalhart and graduated from Dalhart High School in 1998. I moved to the Dallas Metroplex in 2003 and have been in the North Texas or East Texas area ever since. I have three children, Nash is 223, Zoey is 18 and Belle is 11. These three keep me busy outside of school, but I love it!
If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year feel free to call me at the school or email me at christenberrym@kerensisd.org.
All assignments are posted daily in my Google Classrooms. If they are absent they are responsible for the work they missed and can find it in the Google Classroom.
It is going to be an awesome year!
Misti Christenberry
