Use Kiddle to search for kid-friendly results or use Google search filters if using Google

Use keywords when searching. For example, try “hurricane winds” instead of just “hurricanes”

Look up the meaning of words & phrases you want to know more about (see this guide for how)

Use ctrl+f to search for words in a site or article

Ask the 5 W’s (who, what, when, where, & why)

If in doubt, look up facts on another site to see if it’s the same. See this guide for a good way to do that.

Use a notes doc like this one

Write down or copy and paste the names of the websites that you get info from

Add your sources to the end of your writing or whatever it is you make (like a slideshow)
