An Old festival that ran at least three times but ended in 2006 due primarily to budget concerns, efforts have been made to restart it several times but have failed. The festival celebrated steamboat culture in Cincinnati and featured many different steamboats along the public landing. This event, like my monument, commemorates a small slice of steamboat history. And it particularly highlights the steamboat enthusiasm in the early 2000s that led to the festival and monument.
