Where advocates come together for a safer internet through awareness of issues focusing on safety, information literacy, and technology use.
Safer Internet Day has been celebrated annually since 2004. Each February -- on the second day, of the second week, of the second month -- celebrations take place across the globe. Safer Internet Day is a yearly day of awareness where advocates "come together for a better internet" by discussing and raising awareness of emerging trends and issues with safety, information literacy, and other topics. If there is not yet a SID committee in your country, get in touch with SID to work towards Safer Internet Day celebrations in the future.
