Mr. Billings - Physical Science
WELCOME! I cannot begin to express how excited and grateful I am to have returned to Kennett High School (KHS) to teach Physical Science. I am not only a graduate of KHS, but it is where I began my career in education many years ago. I have served in the field of education in various capacities, to include previously teaching Social Studies at KHS, and I have taught respective history courses at the college level. The course I am teaching at KHS this year is Physical Science.
Information specific to this course has been provided under “Course Description” and “Course Syllabus.” I have also included my “Teaching Philosophy,” given this is central to my approach to the instructional/learning process. The philosophy I possess is based upon many years of educational experiences, both as a student and as an educator. These experiences helped to shape my “Teaching Philosophy” which is based on my love for the institution of the school, and most importantly for the students that it serves.
I am passionate about the field of education, and I hope such passion will be contagious. I have long believed that we are the beneficiaries of those who have gone before us. Just as wonderful educators once impacted my life at KHS, I hope that I will have an equally positive influence upon my students. I will work hard with my KHS colleagues to help provide for a positive school environment which is conducive to learning. In the event I can ever be of any assistance to you as a student, or as a parent/legal guardian, please do not hesitate to contact me.
