Bailey Sandt was born and raised in North Texas, where she graduated from Prosper High School. Most recently, Mrs. Sandt has completed her student teaching at Wylie High School and Cooper Junior High in Wylie ISD. She is very excited to begin her first year teaching at Trinity Springs Middle School!
Mrs. Sandt graduated as a University Scholar with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. She studied Horn with Dr. Charles Gavin and Conducting with Dr. David Campo, Dr. Tamey Anglley, and Christopher Kaatz. During her time at SFA, Mrs. Sandt served as a Mellophone Section Leader and an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for the Lumberjack Marching Band. In addition to being involved with the marching band for four seasons, she was a member of the Horn choir, Orchestra of the Pines, Wind Symphony, and Wind Ensemble. Mrs. Sandt was also a member of the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps for the 2018 season.
Mrs. Sandt's professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmaster’s Association, Young Band Directors of Texas, Pi Kappa Lambda, and Kappa Kappa Psi. Outside of teaching, Mrs. Sandt enjoys crafting, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and running with her dog, Bravo.
Quentin Knox, a native of Central Texas, graduated from Copperas Cove HS in Copperas Cove, Texas. Mr. Knox completed his student teaching at Kennemer Middle School and Duncanville High School in Duncanville ISD and is looking forward to his fifth year of teaching at Trinity Springs Middle School!
Mr. Knox received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the University of Texas at Arlington with a minor in Business Administration and recently received his Master of Arts Degree in Band Studies from Sam Houston State University. During his time at UT Arlington, he has performed with the Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestras and served as a Clarinet section leader for the Maverick Marching Band. During his time in the Quattratonic Clarinet Quartet, he was selected to perform at the International Clarinet Associations ClarinetFest 2018 in Ostend, Belgium, and 2019 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Mr. Knox is professionally affiliated with the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmaster's Association, Young Band Directors of Texas, International Clarinet Association, and Tau Beta Sigma. In his free time, Mr. Knox enjoys traveling, cooking, working out, and spending time with friends and family.
Ben Wood grew up in Arlington, Texas, where he graduated from Arlington High School. After graduation, he pursued his passion for music education at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana—famed for being the filming location of Steel Magnolias. At NSU, he earned a bachelor's degree in music education, distinguished himself as a section leader, and was a featured soloist for the Spirit of Northwestern Marching Band. Additionally, Mr. Wood performed with the NSU Jazz Band, Symphony Orchestra, Fall Winds, and Wind Ensemble.
After completing his degree, Mr. Wood began his teaching career at Marksville High School in Marksville, Louisiana, instructing both middle and high school bands. He later moved to Fort Worth ISD, where he taught at The Young Women’s Academy and Trimble Tech High School for three years. Mr. Wood then dedicated six years to Crowley ISD, serving four years as the band director at S.H. Crowley Intermediate and two years as the Director of Bands at Richard Allie Middle School. Most recently, Mr. Wood was the associate director of bands at Timberview Middle School.
Currently, Mr. Wood plays 1st trumpet with the Greater Fort Worth Community Band. He is an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Bandmasters Association. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, watching movies, and spending quality time with his wife, daughter, and their two dogs.
Mr. Wood is thrilled to join the Titan Band team and looks forward to contributing to the exciting future at Trinity Springs Middle School.
