5th Grade Music @ TMS

Students in 5th grade receive 12 weeks of instruction in music class.

During this rotation students are taught from the 5th grade TEKS, consisting of a wide variety of materials and topics. This includes: rhythms, music notation, folk and patriotic music, instruments, and music history.

The goal of 5th grade's musical instruction is to not only give all students a lifelong appreciation for music, but also to prepare students who are interested in taking choir or band in their 6th grade year.
