6TH GRADE CHOIR
6th Grade Choir is our beginning choir class for all 6th grade students. This choir meets everyday, usually during the morning class periods. This class is open to any 6th grade student and no prior choir experience or audition is needed- simply select choir as your elective and you are in!

SOME HIGHLIGHTS OF 6TH GRADE CHOIR:
One of the largest groups to be a part of at TMS! Guaranteed to make new friends and be with old friends, too!
Social events and field trips for 6th graders only! We have 1-2 events every semester!
Performance opportunities! 3 concerts a year (Fall, Winter, and End-of-Year) and a competition in the Spring!
No "extra" requirements- we believe in working hard and playing harder. We accomplish our work during the school day so that students do not have any conflicts with their extra activities (sports, dance, etc.)

6TH GRADE SHOW CHOIR
The 6th grade show choir "Encore" is an after-school extracurricular opportunity open to any 6th grade student who is signed up for choir. This group meets two times a week from 4-5 and works on a 15-18 minute show consisting of singing and dancing.

7TH/8TH GRADE CHOIR
7TH/8TH GRADE CHOIR
At TMS, students entering 7th and 8th grade have an option to be a part of 1 of our 3 choir classes.

- Select Treble (non-varsity treble choir)
- Tenor-Bass (men's choir)
- Acapella (varsity treble choir)

**If you are not currently in choir but would like to be placed in the Select or Tenor-Bass choir, simply put choir as one of your electives.

The 7th and 8th grade show choir "Ovation" is an after-school extracurricular opportunity open to any 6th grade student who is signed up for choir. This group meets two times a week from 4-5 and works on a 15-18 minute show consisting of singing and dancing.
This group is a competitive show choir, having placed in numerous competitions and received superlative awards.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What will we do in choir?
We have 4 concerts year and we sing everything from Mozart, to Broadway, to Billie Eilish! We get to make music every single day and have fun while doing so!
Can I Audition for Show Choir?
Yes! We have a 6th grade show choir and a 7th/8th grade show choir. In order to audition for show choir you must sign up for regular choir. By selecting choir as your #1 elective you automatically can audition for choir! Auditions will be at the end of March- info coming soon!
Can I be Involved in choir AND other activities?
Absolutely! We have choir students who are involved in tons of extracurriculars, including: football, basketball, tennis, volleyball, wrestling, track, dance, cheer, NJHS, AVID, Spanish, art, and theatre!
Do I have to be a great singer to join?
Nope! Our job as your director is to improve your skills and make you a confident singer!
Do I have to sing by myself?
Nope! We do offer solo opportunities if you would like the opportunity to shine!
