Helen (McDaniel) Schrader, originally from Fort Worth and a proud Keller ISD graduate, graduated from Baylor University in 2020 with a degree in Choral Music Education. During her time at Baylor, Mrs. Schrader was a member and officer/section leader for both the Baylor A Cappella Choir and Baylor Bella Voce. Mrs. Schrader continues to serve her alma mater by working the BU choir summer camp for high school students pursuing the TMEA all-state process.
The 2025-2026 school year will be Mrs. Schrader’s sixth year of teaching. Previously Mrs. Schrader worked at Timberview MS as the associate director. Prior to coming to Timberview, Mrs. Schrader was the associate choir director at Canyon Ridge Middle School in Austin, Texas. During her time there, her choirs received superior UIL and contest ratings.
Mrs. Schrader strives to cultivate a community of excellence both in and out of the choir room and to strengthen her students as a whole. Mrs. Schrader is so excited to be a part of such a strong choral program at Timberview and can’t wait to spend the year learning and growing with such amazing music and choir kids!
Outside of school Mrs. Schrader enjoys spending time with her husband, Christian, and daughter, Penelope. Mrs. Schrader's favorite things include: Disney/Marvel, the Buffalo Bills, Taylor Swift, and Starbucks! ☕

Emily Patrick is thrilled to join the Timberview Middle School team as the Associate Choir Director (5/6). She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) with a Bachelor of Music degree and holds an EC–12 certification in music education. Most recently, she served as the Assistant Choir Director at Central High School.
Ms. Patrick completed her student teaching in Keller ISD at both Trinity Springs Middle School and Fossil Ridge High School, where she had the privilege of working with exceptional students and experienced educators. During her time at UTA, she was actively involved in the music community, serving as President of both the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) student chapter and Sigma Alpha Iota, a national music fraternity.
Her dedication to music education has been recognized through multiple awards, including the UTA Department of Music’s Choral Music Education Award, the Mary Art and Winden Texas Choral Directors Association Scholarship, and the Texas Music Educators Association Student Teaching Scholarship.
As a performer, Ms. Patrick has had the honor of singing with the UTA A Cappella Choir at prestigious events such as the 2022 Southwestern American Choral Directors Association (SWACDA) Convention and the 2024 Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Convention. She was also selected to perform with the SWACDA 2024 Collegiate Honor Choir.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Patrick enjoys staying active and spending time with her three dogs. She looks forward to a year of musical growth, creativity, and collaboration with the Timberview Middle School community.
