Words of Wisdom
The best lesson I’ve ever learned came from an upperclassman named Ian Canfield. He told me to always be the hardest working person in the room. And I’ve taken that advice to heart ever since. Talent is only a portion of the equation. If you work hard, and always have a good attitude, you’re destined to succeed. The best advice I’ve learned from experience is to have the courage to follow your passion. Don’t be afraid to go ALL IN! If you love what you’re doing, it’s worth it.

ALWAYS BE YOURSELF... The best you is always when you are authentic and trying to be better than your past. That being said don't be afraid to make bold choices for auditions so you can stand out from the crowd. Another thing that will help you in your theatre career is to always be kind and considerate to technicians, because they work as hard as you and they deserve the world. If you ever have a question or need to talk then shoot me a text, I am here for you.

Don't be afraid to put yourself out there. If there is one thing I could change about my KHS theatre career I would have been more social and open to new experiences as a freshman. There are so many amazing people in this department who will change your life for the better if you just try to get to know them. Meeting new people can seem scary but its totally worth it!

Don’t be afraid to branch out and meet new people! You will get to know the best people and make really amazing friendships! Not just in theatre, but in your everyday classes too. Also, be brave enough to take risks and try new things!! Taking risks will help you stand out, and if you try new things you might end up finding something you really like! I know freshman year can be stressful, so if you’re feeling overwhelmed just remember to breathe! It’ll turn out okay, and we are ALWAYS here for you if you ever need anyone to talk to or help you with anything!
