Let’s knock this project out of the park!
Our December event was Angel Tree! Our department was able to donate gifts to Basswood Elementary School children in times for the winter holidays. Keller Thespians contributions to Angel Tree were able to give many children a magical Christmas day! We were able to gift all 15 children each 3 gifts or more, surpassing our original goal of 2 gifts each! Way to go Thespians! We are so thankful for the willingness and gratitude of our Keller Thespians! You guys rock! Keep up the good work!
Its our goal this year to serve the community of Keller and surrounding areas as a collective department. It is our hope that Keller Theatre and Thespians will impact the lives of many in our community in a positive way! We hope to have one service project for each holiday of the 2020-2021 school year. It is also our goal as your community service thespian officers to provide our department with a variety of different types of service. This year may look different, but it is our goal to participate in everything from drives, and donations, to in person volunteering and advocacy! Must importantly, we hope as your officers we can excite you about service! We want you to reap all the wonderful benefits of serving others!
Hello everyone! My name is Gina Sisco, I'm a Senior at Keller High School, and your 2020-2021 Thespian Community Service Chair! I love Keller Theatre and community service so its such honor to be serving in this position!
I would like to tell you a little more about my background in community service! I have been volunteering and participating in community service activities ever since I was young thanks to my involvement in Girl Scouts. I have been a Girl Scout for going on nine years now, completing my Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards.
However, my community service experience doesn't stop there! In high school I have completed 1 Green Cord and 3 Blue Cords dedicating around 500 hours of service to work with children and adults with special needs. I have volunteered in Special Olympics, Revive, Respite, COF, tutoring, and recently after being crowned Miss Alliance's Outstanding Teen have began volunteering and promoting my platform in advocating for youth volunteerism. Theatre is a passion of mine and there is nothing I love more than performing! I am beyond thrilled to be able to combine two of my passions ( theatre and community service) into one as your Thespian Community Service Chair!
Once again, I am so excited to represent my department this year! However unconventional this year is, I will do my best to make in fun for everyone! Go Keller Theatre!
Hi! I'm Dominik Sustaita, I'm a Junior at Keller High School, and I am so excited to be your Thespian Community Service Sub Chair. I have over 300 hours of experience, and I hope to bring you on my outreach journey. My absolute favorite organization to volunteer with has to be the Keller Farmers Market. The unbelievable hardworking vendors have the best stories, and its an honor to listen and help them with anything they need. It is going to be an incredible year! I cannot wait for all our projects to begin. Not only am I active in all aspects of our theatre department, but I am also an avid member of our choir program. I am in the Varsity Mixed Choir and in Keller Tribe (show choir). I have a passion for music, and have a blast with the rest of my show choir family. I have been a part if seven productions at Keller High, and cant wait for the many to come. Take advantage of all your opportunities! I cant wait to see you around the hallways or over zoom.
