Why be a THESPIAN OFFICER?

These officers work year-round with Troupe Director, Keller Theatre Directors, and Thespian members, to nurture strong student leaders, advocate for the arts, fund raise for accessibility, and create the best experience possible for students.

The International Thespian Society is an honor society for theatre arts students and its membership is the only international honor society for high school theatre arts students—a recognized demonstration of achievement and a valuable addition to college and employment applications.

You will be a leader for your Troupe, for your department, and surrounding community. What an honor!

To apply for an officer position, you must fill out the Officer Application Form and complete the Project below.

• Create a slideshow (google slides preferred) to show us how you will be the BEST Freshman Rep for KHS Theatre!

• Consider this slideshow as your way of showing us all your best attributes. Why you? What new and innovative ways are you going to engage new students into Thespians and the department? Have you read the officer descriptions and have you considered how you can make this happen throughout your term in office?

• Show us some examples of what you plan to do -- How will you keep in close contact with your Freshman class as school begins and things change and evolve? How will you keep them engaged and excited to participate in theatre?

• These should be short and sweet. No longer than 5-8 slides! You will have five minutes to present and answer questions.

We will announce our choices for a second round of Freshman Rep auditions by Sept. 15, 2020.

We will then send out an invite to sign up for a VIRTUAL interview, where you will present your slides and tell us a little about yourself.

We will anounce our Freshman Rep by Sept. 18, 2020!
