Hi! I'm Mrs. Crawford. I am one of the voice teachers for Hillwood Middle and Parkwood Hill Intermediate School. This is my second year teaching with HMS and PHIS. I have been a voice teacher for 5 years. I graduated from Texas Woman's University both with my Bachelors in Music and Masters in Vocal Pedagogy. I have been a member of TCCDA All State Choir 2016 & 2017. I was also a member of TWU's Concert Choir and performed at ACDA in 2019 and at TMEA in 2020. While under TWU's Concert Choir, I embarked on a choral tour for a study abroad trip where I performed in Sweden, Estonia and Lavtia in May of 2022.

Sylvia Bonniwell graduated from the University of North Texas College of Music in 2016 with a Bachelor of Music specializing in Vocal and General Music Education. She has completed Level III Orff Schulwerk Pedagogical training and Level II Kodály Choral and Theory postgraduate training through Southern Methodist University. Sylvia has been the Soprano Choral Section Leader at The First United Methodist Church of Downtown Fort Worth for the past three years and will continue into her fourth year there.

Ms. Bonniwell has performed as a soloist in various ensembles across Texas. While finishing her undergraduate degree, she started an entertainment company serving the DFW area and partnered regularly with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She has also taught private lessons at multiple private and public schools on and off for the past twelve years.

Ms. Bonniwell has served as an elementary music program director in FWISD, where she was also an Associate Director of the district’s Children’s Honor Choir, and in NISD, where she was the Assistant Director and Coordinator of the NISD Children's Honor Choir. Additionally, Ms. Bonniwell worked in Keller ISD as an elementary music program director at Lone Star Elementary for one year before giving birth to her wonderful son, David.

She has greatly enjoyed spending more time with her young son but misses teaching and making music with children. Ms. Bonniwell is excited to be joining the HMS and PHIS choir team. As an alumnus of Hillwood Middle School and Central High School, she is thrilled to give back to the community that helped her grow in the music field. Go Chargers!
