MRS. JIMENEZ
Head Choir Director
Monica Jimenez is the Head Director at Hillwood Middle School in Keller ISD. She graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education - Vocal Concentration in 2017. Mrs. Jimenez was lucky enough to begin her teaching career at Hillwood under Mrs. Jodi Coke during student teaching, was the associate director for 4 years, and now is the head director! Prior to teaching at HMS, she had been the assistant at many school districts before, such as Eagle-Mountain Saginaw ISD, Plano ISD, and Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. She also works as a professional singer/section leader and the Children's Choir Director at Peace Lutheran Church in Hurst. Her professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Choral Directors Association.
This is Mrs. Jimenez's 7th year at Hillwood Middle School and 8th year in education. She loves the color purple, iced coffee, scary movies and spending time with her husband, family, and rescue cats, Sophie and Nacho.

Associate Choir Director
Ms. Rachel Heiser is the Associate Director at Hillwood Middle School. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Texas Christian University (TCU). During her time at TCU, she completed her student teaching at Hillwood Middle School with Mrs. Jodi Coke and Mrs. Monica Jimenez. After she graduated, she went on to teach in Carroll ISD for two years, where she served as the Assistant Director at Carroll Senior High School and the Head Director at both Carroll and Dawson Middle Schools.
This will be Ms. Heiser’s first official year on staff at Hillwood, and she’s excited to return to the campus where her teaching journey began. Outside of choir, she loves to dance and works as a dance instructor in the Dallas area where she specializes in contemporary choreography, K-pop covers and a bit of show choir choreography. She is so excited to join the Charger family!
