The Keller ISD RTI & MTSS Programs promote an integrated, proactive approach to providing high-quality, research-based interventions, aligned to Keller ISD assessment data. These high-yield instructional practices will create appropriate learning opportunities designed to meet the needs of all learners, from early childhood through high school. The MTSS process utilizes an integrated problem-solving framework to identify and address academic and Social/Emotional needs of students. Frequent, appropriate assessments designed to measure learning rate over time guide the data-driven decision-making process.
The purpose of this handbook is to provide the policies and procedures in implementing a consistent Response to Intervention (MTSS) & Multi-Tiered Systems of Support process. In addition, this handbook is a work in progress as district and federal guidelines change. Revisions and/or additions will be added periodically as needed.
This handbook is to be used by administrators, teachers, instructional support teachers, specialists, and curriculum coordinators.
