Things to Do Before you leave Japan
Please ensure you do the following prior to returning to your home country.
□For those living in Keio dormitories:
Register your moving-out date on your "My page" by one month before you move out.
If you do not register by the deadline, you will be charged for a full monthly rent calculated from the date you submit the form. My Page URL: https://dormitory.ic.keio.ac.jp/en/user/login
Please follow the instructions given by the housing coordinator.
For those who live other than Keio dormitories, make sure to take necessary moving-out procedures at your apartment.
□At your local ward/city office:
-Submit "Moving Out Notification"転出届"(Tenshutsutodoke)
-Cancel your National Health Insurance at the ward/city office
-Inform the National Pension counter that you will be leaving Japan
□Close all your existing accounts:
cell-phone, bank*, credit card**, etc.
*You cannot have a bank account in Japan if you are no longer living in Japan.
**You cannot make payments for your credit card bills abroad.
□Inform the post office that you will be returning to your home country
(submit a "notification of change address").
□Please be aware that your student ID card will expire at the end of the semester.
Return your student ID to the Office of Student Services.
*If you wish to bring it home, we can invalidate your card at the office and return it to you.
□Return your Residence Card at the airport upon departure when going through passport control.

If any of the following cases occurs, your academic transcript will not be issued:
●If you returned to your home country with remaining dormitory rent payment.
●If you have not returned your room key/card to the dormitory manager.
●If you have not returned the books borrowed from the university library.
