Applicants Must:
■ Be enrolled at one of Keio University's partner universities
■ Have student status at your home university throughout your period of study at Keio
■ Be nominated as an exchange student by your home university
■ Have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent
■ Have English proficiency of TOEFL iBT 79 or equivalent (KIP and GSP only)*
*Applicants do NOT need to submit any English language certificates.
Japanese Language Requirements
Keio International Program (KIP)
■ There is no Japanese proficiency required to apply for the program.
Japanese Language Program (JLP)
■ There is no Japanese proficiency required to apply for the program.
Graduate Studies Program (GSP)
■ If you are applying to the Graduate School of Letters, Law, or Human Relations, please provide at least ONE of the following proofs of Japanese language proficiency via the application system.
Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 certificate (In addition to your Study Proposal, please submit it via the application system.)
Study Plan (Section III of Study Proposal) written in Japanese
All Programs (KIP, JLP, and GSP)
■ When registering for Undergraduate Faculty / Graduate School courses, students are required to have Japanese proficiency equivalent to or higher than level N2 of the JLPT.
