SIGNING UP FOR TRIPS

Students can sign-up at any time for a trip until the cut-off date. Upon sign-up, students also receive a permission form.

After school that day, if the max. is exceeded, advisors will randomly select participants and alternates. 

The next school day, students can check the posted lottery results in the Brook Nook. 

Trips involve school time — students MUST plan ahead and inform their teachers well in advance. Students should consider each trip carefully and if there are any questions, please call or come and speak with one of the advisors.

Equipment for trips, such as backpacks sleeping bags, headlamps, and boots may be borrowed from Project C.L.I.M.B.

Hut trips signups end significantly earlier than camping trip signups.

You may sign up for any of these trips starting at the beginning of school.  The last day of signups is when a deposit of at least 50% is due.  

September 22-23: CANOE & CAMP

We will paddle a 10 mile stretch of the Connecticut River, from Bradford, VT to Orford, NH, where we’ll then camp overnight.

October 27-29: 

BACKPACK TO CARTER NOTCH HUT*

The backpacking trip to Carter Hut in the White Mountains is for 38 students. We arrive at KRHS by 7:40 am on Friday and return to KRHS on Sunday afternoon. Open to all students.

NOVEMBER 9-10: MOOSE MOUNTAIN – Dartmouth Outing Club

*This trip runs Thurs.-Fri., as there is no school on Fri., 11/10

The fall backpacking trip can accommodate 40 students.  We arrive at KRHS by 7:40 am on Thursday and return to KRHS by noon on Friday. Open to all KRHS students. 

DECEMBER 8: DAY HIKE

The destination for this day hike will be determined in the fall.  Up to 40 students can participate.  We arrive at KRHS by 7:40 am and return to KRHS in the evening. Open to all students.

The backpacking trip to Lonesome Lake Hut in the White Mountains is for 40 students. This spring trip introduces KRMS students to Project C.L.I.M.B.  We arrive at KRHS by 7:40 am on Friday and return to KRHS on Sunday afternoon. Open to KRMS & KRHS students.

MARCH 22-24:

BACKPACK TO ZEALAND HUT*

This spring backpacking trip can accommodate 27 students.  We arrive at KRHS by 7:40 am on Friday and return to KRHS in the afternoon on Sunday. Open to all KRHS students.

This day trip will be planned by CLIMB student leadership and will be open to 24 students. INCLUDES the ANNUAL COOKOUT!!
