Checklist for Fall Hike/Canoe Trip (THIS LIST IS FOR A HIKE AND PADDLE TRIP NOT FOR THE ONE NIGHT PADDLE ONLY TRIP)
MUST HAVE ITEMS:
____FOOTWEAR: Paddling Shoes - Crocs, Chacos, Tevas, old sneakers
Day Hiker, Trail Runner, etc (not the same as your paddle shoe
____DAYPACK: large enough for the day hike – you don’t need a multi-day pack
____SLEEPING BAG AND PAD: must be rated to at least 30 degrees F ***available for rent from CLIMB
Lightweight, mummy bag, NOT rectangular camp bag
____2 PLASTIC GARBAGE BAGs: If your stuff gets wet, you’ll want one
____SMALL ZIPLOC BAGS: for camera, book, other items that need to be watertight
____FLASHLIGHT: Headlamps are easiest to use,

Or bring a small, lightweight flashlight
____EXTRA BATTERIES: Bring one extra set of batteries for your flashlight
____2 NALGENE WATER BOTTLES: 1 liter size - filled with water Camelbacks are OK on this trip
____GORP: trail mix in a Ziploc bag
Packed in a place that you can easily reach while hiking
____TOILETRIES: Toothbrush
Toothpaste (TRAVEL SIZE)

_____ PADDLE You don’t want to be up the creek without it – we’ll give you one
_____ TENT & GROUND CLOTH Bring yours or use a CLIMB tent – you’ll be in a tent with a few other people
