This course is an individualized approach to writing poetry, short stories, and creative nonfiction. Requirements include frequent writing exercises, extensive writing in a variety of genres, the compilation of a personal portfolio, workshopping individual work, and reading samples of professional writers’ work in various genres. Students are expected to write in class every day. Students who have taken Writing for Self-Expression may not take Creative Writing.
