7-2 Math with Mr. Frankel is graded based on Math knowledge and Habits of Mind.
All assignments listed on PowerSchool have the same number as the assignments posted in Google Classroom. Most of the assignments are posted in Google Classroom with printable copies of work pages, PDF copies of our book sections, or work that can be done on a separate sheet of paper. Warm ups are only paper copies and extras are available in the classroom.
Please note: I am not collecting work in Google Classroom. Google Classroom is being used to get students notes, videos, and practice pages. I will not be tracking missing work in google classroom or entering any grades there. All graded, collected assignments will be tracked in Powerschool only.
While important to the learning process, practice (homework), work completion, participation, extra credit, and effort are not included in the calculation of content competency-based grades. They will be assessed based on Habits on mind and tracked in PowerSchool.
The final score of each learning target is calculated using the mode of up to the most recent three assessments to emphasize a student’s progression of growth and learning over time. A final grade for each competency is the average of the learning targets. However, to be considered as demonstrating competency, a student must earn a two or higher on each learning target. To be considered passing a course, students must demonstrate a two or higher on each competency. There are no overall course grades or GPA. For more information on our grading policy please see the Kearsarge Regional Middle School website at www.kearsarge.org/middle-school.
