PTO Mission

What does the NL PTO do?

The mission of the PTO is to promote the well-being and enrichment of the children of KRES New London. This is accomplished through volunteer involvement in the school, family and community activities, enrichment programs such as assemblies and field trips, special celebrations, and fundraising for these needs. The NL PTO pays for ALL field trips the students attend, classroom support and celebrations. In addition, the PTO gives stipends to our teachers for classroom supplies, etc.

Volunteering with the PTO is rewarding to everyone! Parents benefit by becoming involved and more connected with the school, and they are able to see how the kids learn in and out of the classroom. Veteran parents help newcomers learn from their experiences, and many new friendships are formed! Our children gain from many advantages from the involvement of parents in their school. You will see a boost in their self-esteem and see them flourish in their academics. Teachers also benefit from the involvement of parents by being able to offer more to students. And of course we always hope we are making their job just a bit easier. Last but not least, there is the incredible programs the PTO offers to students, which is only possible because of the help of volunteers.
