MEET THE DRUMLINE
The Bass Line of the Drumline consists of 5 members who must work as a cohesive team. Each bass musician must be able to read split music parts and unison, while being able to memorize and carry the weight of the equipment while marching. The Bass line is the heart of the band. They are the foundation of the Battery and the drive behind the tempos.

BASS LINE
The Tenor Line (quints), are comprised of 3 musicians who are performing on five drums simultaneously. Each drum is pitched and finely tuned to match each members set. The Tenor line bring out the color and timbre in the drumline, featuring an array of pitch are rhythmic complexities. The musicians must have a strong core and strength in order to harness and carry the tenor sets while marching and performing memorized music.

The Snare line is comprised of five musicians. Kearney Catholic snare players are expected to play in traditional stick grip. The snares must line up intricate rhythms, manage stick heights, memorize numerous combinations and patterns within the music, and be able to carry the weight of the snare while marching and performing. The snare's bring the style alive within the music. They are vital to the drumline equation.

Many of these musicians play multiple instruments in the percussion section which may consist of marimba, vibraphone, chimes, gong, keyboard synth, bells, xylophone, and more. Without this section, many layers of color within the music would be truly missed. The pit percussion helps bring the show alive.

Throughout the years, the Stars Drumline has performed in a multitude of events and community activities. Some of these have included the Kearney Alzheimer's Walk, Make A Wish Foundation Events, Brunch with the Bands, The Lizzie Stratton Walk, Storm Hockey Games, and of course - KCHS events. The Drumline is comprised of students in grades 7-12 who simply love percussion and the bonds it creates among them within the Stars Band.
