Faculty Advisor

Found in Room 618. Supports members of the club by arranging for facilities, disseminating club information, and facilitating group responsibilities. Serves as a go-between for the National Beta Club and the student body represented within Beta Club.
Club President
The President has the most visibility in meetings and their leadership sets the tone for the rest of the club activities. The president presides over meetings, appoints committees, and cooperates with the faculty advisor, school administration and fellow members to make plans that will both educate members and serve the community.
Club Vice President
The Vice-President must be ready to serve in the President’s role they are absent. The VP works with the President, faculty advisor, school administration and fellow members to make plans that will both educate members and serve the community.
Reporter
It is the Reporter’s duty to let your school and community know what the club is doing. You may make posters, update the bulletin board, or work on the Beta Club website. Promotions for and reports about events may also be shared over Remind.
Club Treasurer
The Treasurer is the officer responsible for staying aware of the club’s finances. It is their duty to keep accurate records of the club’s bank account and provides reports regularly during meetings. They will complete this job in cooperation with the Beta faculty advisor and school administration.
Club Secretary
The Secretary must pay close attention and take detailed notes on club activities. They must also stay organized and deliver information from past meetings so that members stay up to date on all club activities.
Historian
It is the Historian’s duty to create a record of the activities performed by this club throughout the year. This will be completed as assisting the Reporter update the website by taking pictures of events and helping the Secretary as needed.
Chaplain
It is the Chaplain’s duty to provide words of encouragement, motivation and a maintain a positive attitude. They work closely with fellow officers and the faculty advisor to ensure that the focus of the club remains true to the National Beta motto: Let Us Lead by Serving Others!
The LEHS Club admits only 10th-12th grade students who are at or above grade level.
The academic requirements for membership in the National Senior Beta club is maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher.
New members must participate in the induction ceremony.
Members pay annual dues and SENIORS pay an additional fee for the stoll to wear at graduation.
Members complete a service project/hours (MINIMUM: 15 per semester, 30 for the year).
A member of this National Senior Beta club may be put on probation or dropped from membership for the following reasons.
If he/she is absent without a justifiable reason from 2 regular consecutive meetings. (Students may only miss 1 meeting per semester.)
If his/her academic record falls below a 3.5 GPA for over a semester.
If he/she fails to attain at least 30 service hours for the academic year without a justifiable reason.
If his/her character and behavior record demonstrates write-ups, school-based punishment, or expulsion.
Leadership - Students interested in leading the club and various Beta Club committees. Fulfillment of some duties will result in service hours. These students meet with the sponsor at least twice a month.
Convention - These students will travel to Beta Club conventions to represent our club at the State/National level. Students may showcase their talents (art, singing, theater, speech, dance, music, writing, design, film, robotics/engineering) in convention competitions for awards. Students get service hours for participating. Meetings will be increased based on student preparation needs - heavy in the 1st semester, less in 2nd semester when convention is over.
General - Students who participate in committees based on their interest (participation counts toward service hours). Students maintain a standard of academic excellence, participate in Beta events, and gain service hours through opportunities at school and in the community. These students meet with the club sponsor at least twice a semester - more during special events.
Program Committee
Arrange for the business and social meetings of the club and to designate the time/place of the meetings, as provided for in the bylaws.
Events Committee
Look after the entertainment features of the social meetings of the club—such as guest speakers, decorations, refreshments, and special features of entertainment.
Service Committee
Arrange and plan all school and community service projects throughout the year.
Social Outreach Committee
Arrange for publicity of any activities or special features of club operations or any of its members in local and state newspapers, on radio, television, and social media.
