Magazines are a great way to keep up with current events or even learn more about a career field of interest. Fort Bend County Libraries offers their magazines in Flipster. You may login with your Fort Bend County Library card.
Harris County Public Library magazines may be accessed via the Flipster or Libby apps, or you may read the magazine in your browser. You will login with your Harris County library card.

Newspapers may be accessed in the Gale Databases in MyKaty Cloud. Login to MyKaty Cloud. Choose the database tab at the bottom. Click on General OneFile. Choose your high school, click the NEWS tile and enter the password. If you do not know the password, contact your library staff.
The New York Times digital version is available free for high school students April 6-July 6. Contact your school librarian for access. Your librarian will register your email address. Then you will receive an email invitation. For more information, click the link.
For local news, you may read a few articles for free at the Katy Times and the Houston Chronicle. To read either paper in its entirety, you will need to pay for the subscription.
