What Do We Do In Band?
In addition to learning to play an instrument (what fun!), the band performs at a wide variety of functions:
School-Wide Pep Rallies
Picnic Concert
Concerts at the Cinco Ranch High School Performing Arts Center (PAC)
Solo and small ensemble performances
Outreach concerts in the community
And more!!
In addition, the band enjoys a number of social activities throughout the year:
Band Blitz
Fine Arts Game Night
Band Movie Night
Band Bash (basketball, volleyball,, DJ, food/drinks, games and more)
Spring Trip - we have been to Schlitterbahn Galveston, Hurricane Harbor Splashtown, Fiesta Texas, Kemah Boardwalk, Galveston Strand, Main Event, It'z Pizza, Camp Cho-Yeh, and more!
Instrument Selection Screening
In an effort to streamline and simplify the process, all interested band students will fill out an online instrument selection survey. You must choose band as your first elective choice on the Course Selection Sheet provided by the counselors to receive this screening information. You will receive an email from the band directors once we get your name from the counselors (usually after Spring Break).
