Event Date - Saturday, May 9, 2026
registration deadline has passed
In order to participate, students must meet the following criteria:
Students must have paid all band/choir course fees and instrument usage fees for the school year.
Students should have participated in all required performances for the school year. Should a student have an unexcused absence from a performance or excessive absences from required outside-of-the-school day rehearsals, the student will not be able to participate. Remember, directors are the only ones who can determine whether an absence from an event is considered excused or unexcused.
Students must show a good behavior record. We reserve the right to deny any student participation in this activity where a student has shown behavior to be a problem, regardless of where the behavior takes place.
The deadline to register has passed
All students, chaperones, and directors must fill out the Camp Cho-Yeh waiver in order to participate in any activities. Waiver must be filled out before the day of the trip.
Print and fill out the Student Medication handout if you are checking in meds (see packing list below for more information). Turn in the handout with medications (in their original container with dispensing instructions) Saturday morning to the medical table.
We are no longer accepting parent chaperone requests. We will reach out to interested chaperones the week of April 6.

⬜ Wear this year’s band/choir shirt, shorts, closed-toed athletic shoes
You must wear this year’s band/choir shirt or you will not be allowed on the trip.
You will wear this shirt throughout the trip except for when you are participating in the water activities.
It is a good idea to put your initials inside the shirt in case it gets misplaced.
Cho-Yeh requires closed-toed shoes. So no flip-flops, crocs, etc. You can bring water shoes for the lake.
⬜ Swimsuit may be worn as shorts or underneath clothes
Swimsuits must be of a modest/sport nature. Questions? Ask your director.
⬜ Dry clothes for the ride home
Students will wear their band/choir shirt.
⬜ String bag or backpack
Labeled with student’s first and last name.
Store change of clothes and other items you bring with you to the park.
⬜ Towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, water shoes, bug spray, watch, etc
Students need to know what time it is during the day. Wear a watch?
⬜ Water bottle or hydro flask
Labeled with the student's first and last name.
There are many refilling stations scattered throughout the park.
⬜ Money for snacks/ice cream/souvenirs at The Trading Post
Optional (all activities and lunch are pre-paid and provided).
⬜ Needed medications
Fill out the Student Medication handout only if you are checking in meds.
Turn in the handout with medications (in their original container with dispensing instructions) Saturday morning to the medical table.
Come to Home Base to take any needed medications throughout the day.
If you self-carry an inhaler, epi-pen, etc, you can self-carry on the trip. Please report that you are bringing that with you Saturday morning at med check-in.
⬜ Football, basketball, soccer ball, etc.
Cho-Yeh provides some of these items, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Directors will be stationed at our Home Base, which is near The Trading Post in the center of the park. Chaperones will be stationed throughout the park. See a director, chaperone or Cho-Yeh staff member if you are in need of assistance.
Students are expected to stay in groups of three or more. Students should choose groups based upon the kinds of activities they want to do. If you are having difficulty getting into or staying with a group, see a chaperone or director.
Students are strongly encouraged to apply sunscreen and drink water throughout the day. Kids who do these things have more fun.
There are restrooms available throughout the park - Trading Post (near home base), Cho-Dome, Dining Hall and the pool.
A thought about phones: while students will be allowed to have their phones for the trip, we ask that students stay off their phones while at Cho-Yeh. Enjoy your friends and the great outdoors. Students who display excessive use of their phone while at Cho-Yeh may be asked to turn it in to a director for the remainder of the trip. Your apps/games will be waiting for you when you get home. Parents, please don’t text or call your child during the trip. Let them enjoy the day. They will be in good hands with us.
A thought about behavior: We expect kids to have fun, show good behavior, and be respectful of everyone - chaperones, bus drivers, Cho Yeh staff, directors, other visiting groups, etc. Use phrases like “yes sir”, “yes ma’am”, “no sir”, “no ma’am”, “please”, and most importantly “thank you”.
What activities are available to us during our trip?
Students will be able to enjoy all of the included activities while at Camp Cho-Yeh: Treehouse, Jumping Pillow, Cho-Dome (covered basketball arena), 9 Square in the Air, Gaga Ball, Sand Volleyball, Sports Fields (perfect for soccer, football and more), Disc Golf, Foosball, Cornhole, Carpetball, Ping Pong, Low Zip Lines, Speed Sleds and more!
In addition, we have purchased an add-on package that give us exclusive access to additional activities. Those include High Ropes Adventure Course, Archery Tag, Zip Lines, Climbing Tower, Crate Stacking and Cargo Nets, and the Pool. Learn more about those activities by clicking here.
What are we eating for lunch?
Camp Cho-Yeh offers a unique menu each day of the year (meal to be determined). In addition to the main menu item, Camp Cho-Yeh offers a full salad bar and deli bar where you can make your own salad or sandwich.
How does lunch work?
Lunch will operate much like the school cafeteria lines. When finished eating, students are expected to clean their own tables - this includes putting dishes up in the correct location, and cleaning any spills/food/wrappers on or underneath the tables.
When do we eat?
All students will meet at the Dining Hall at 12:45pm and enter together as a group. All students will participate in lunch at the same time.
