The state of Texas has made FAFSA completion a graduation requirement for students graduating Spring 2022 and after.
Ways to meet the requirement:
Complete FAFSA (Seniors/Early Grads only)
Complete TASFA (non-US citizens Seniors/Early Grads only)
Complete Opt-Out Form (upload signed form in SchooLinks or submit in room 1530B in the main counseling suite)
NOTE: Completing the Opt-Out form does NOT mean that you will not complete the FAFSA/TASFA at some point. The Opt-Out Form can be used to suffice for the graduation requirement. Even if you fill out a form, you can still fill out your FAFSA/TASFA.
NOTE: Filling out the FAFSA/TASFA does not complete your graduation requirement until you ALSO upload proof of processing into your SchooLinks account. Scroll down for directions about how to complete the graduation requirement portion.
