MORE FAQs

We participated in the KCTC, but I don't find my report in AMOSS.  If your participation rate was too low to maintain anonymity, Greenbush is unable to create a report. This same limitation also can happen with very small districts having a small number of students at a grade level.

How can we start getting this report if we haven't given the KCTC survey before?   Sign up with Greenbush for the survey at https://kctcdata.org/school-administrators/, develop your implementation plan, and parent information and consent procedures. If you take the survey this school year, you'll have results in the Spring.

Whom do I contact to answer questions about my report?    If you do not see your answer on this page or on the "Basic 411" button download, please use the Big Blue Button labeled “Request Assistance” on the https://ksdetasn.org website. Once you click the button, provide the information requested, including your specific question about the School Climate Types Report.  If you are a Kansas MTSS and Alignment district, you can reach out to your BSEL State Trainer.

One of our squares seems to be the wrong color based on our data.  In the vast majority of cases, the color coding is indeed accurate. Please check that you are comparing your data from that square with the state average for the same grade level(s). The algorithm is designed to compare 'apples to apples.' For example, some reports might show the total state average for Kansas, while the column you're viewing for your school's results is providing data about your district's 6th grade, or your district's 6th & 8th grades. Color coding rules are identified on the initial information sheet that accompanies the report.

Do you have examples of a parent letter and opt-in forms? Click on the guidance near the top of this page from Greenbush about the KCTC. About 3/4 of the way down on page one is a link to a resource you can copy that has a parent letter and collects electronic opt-ins.
