Based on my extensive experience as a manager, I build UX teams, establish design processes and create user-centric operating strategies for international organizations. Creating recruitment profiles, figuring out where UX Design and Research fit in a product cycle, and establishing day to day rules and rituals for daily UX work can be daunting - this is where I come in. I'm available for short and long term engagements in Europe (mainly Germany and Poland) and other parts of the world.

Step 1. Project and metric planning - having a UX Manager in the initial stage of a project will ensure that the right metrics are used from the get go, and that design work is properly scheduled within the required coding and back-end work.
Step 2. Work and resources planning - as a user experience project manager, I will help you choose your researcher and designer roster for your project - see also my recruitment services for designers and researchers!
Step 3. Regular ceremonies and reviews - I will plan and see through the regular ceremonies required for efficient design work. UX design can happen both as part of a cross-functional team, or within a design team - both require unique approaches.
Step 4. Stakeholder management and reviews - while the best UX designers can best represent their work themselves, in many cases a representative for the UX design team will take this burden on, allowing other team members to focus on their tasks.
Step 5 (optional). Crisis management - lead designer quits? Management communication breakdown? I've been there and I know that sometimes in order to save a project, a crisis intervention is needed - also true for UX, where drama is rife.
Step 6. Post-release support and research - UX projects live on, and require constant UX research and feedback monitoring. A UX Manager like myself will help you to set up ongoing monitoring, bug-fixing and iterative processes.
Why I'm good at UX project management!
I've managed many UX design and research projects across the years. Some of the biggest challenges are connecting design to the product and technical landscapes, and working with international teams. I'm great at UX project management, because I have both the experience and the skills - I'm a great listener and conversationalist, work great in teams and enjoy building things.
Various considerations
Bringing in a UX project manager into a project is highly dependant on the circumstances. Ideally, the project manager is brought in as early as possible and stays with the project throughout its lifecycle. A regular physical presence is advised, especially for the ceremonies and stakeholder meetings, but much of the work can be conducted remotely. In limited cases, for projects in trouble, a shorter engagement can also be an option. Get in touch and we'll figure it out together.
How do we start working together?
It's easy - simply contact me and I will give you a quick estimate. Don't worry - I don't charge for the initial consultation and all contractual obligations are always finalized in writing.
I am available for short and long engagements in Germany, Poland and other European countries.
