Nomination and Application Procedure

  1. Nomination (Deadline: january 24 15:00 JST)

The coordinators from our partner universities are asked to nominate their students by filling in the form below. Some nominees may not be able to participate if nominations exceed the capacity. Applicants will receive their application numbers.

"Interaction in Japanese (twice a week: Wed and Fri) is the core course of this program. Students who can sign up for this program may be prioritized.

Students who have been participating in this program in the fall semester will NOT be automatically eligible to join this program in the spring semester. Please nominate them again.

2. Application (january 25 - february 6 15:00 JST)

Applicants should apply for this program by filling in the form below.

Logging in to a google account is required. In case a student does not have a google account, s/he should sign up for one (continuing students can use their KUIS email account).

If there is any trouble accessing, contact international@kanda.kuis.ac.jp.

Change the file name of each file to "Application#_Name". (e.g. "Application#_Taro_Kanda.pdf")

3. level Placement (january 25 - february 6 15:00 JST)

Students will complete the assignments by the deadline, and will be placed in their appropriate class level (Level 2 - 7).

The application will be declined if the result of this level placement does not reach at least Level 2.

4. Notification of Acceptance (Late-february)

Applicants may be declined because of the lack of fulfillment of the application or registration requirements.

Please note that acceptance is not 100% guaranteed.

5. Course Registration (Late-february)

Applicants will sign up for their preferred courses by filling in the form(TBA).

  • There is no minimum or maximum number of courses taken.

  • Students will choose courses of their level.

  • The morning classes (M) and afternoon classes (A) have the same contents. Students will attend EITHER of them.

  • "Interaction in Japanese" is the core course. Although it is not necessary to sign up for it, it is strongly recommended if the schedule allows and students who can do so will be prioritized.

  • "Interaction in Japanese" needs attending twice a week, while other courses basically meet once a week.

  • If the number of sign-ups exceeds the capacity of the course, students will be asked to move to another course or randomly selected (not on a first-come-first-served basis).

6. Orientation (Late-March - early-April)

An orientation session is planned to be held.

7. Courses Begin (April 13)

Check the time difference and make sure to be on time!!
