Numeracy
Musical chair with numbers
Sequencing numbers is a fundamental aspect of preschool education, learning to identify and name numbers is a skill that every learner should develop, as this will help them improve their mathematical skills and to promote accuracy in counting. A fun activity was conducted for our EY3 learners with an aim to revise numbers from 1 to 10 in a sequence. Using games as a learning tool helped our EY3 learners to improve their number sequencing in a engaging way, to boost our learners interest in learning about math, reinforce their understanding of counting and to increase our learners ability to apply math in real-life situations. Overall, the activity on numbers was a resounding success, make learning a fun and memorable experience .
Knowing yourself is an important aspect of personal growth and self-awareness. Creating an "All About Me" activity for our learners was a wonderful way to encourage self-expression and foster a sense of belonging within the classroom community. EY3 learners were encouraged to share and draw their favorite food, sport, season and what makes them happy. Learners reflected on their likes, and dislikes opening windows to their worlds and in doing so, helped us to understand and connect with our learners on an individual level, creating enriching learning experiences that support their growth, development and well-being. It's a continuous journey of self-discovery and it's wonderful that our learners have a sense of who they are. Exploring and learning more about yourself—it's an ongoing process that can lead to deeper understanding and fulfillment.
