Let's balance and play
Balancing challenges focus and concentration. Our learners were engaged in an outdoor activity wherein they were asked to balance a ball on a paper and carry it to the basket. Our learners enthusiastically participated in this activity with their peer. This activity helped the learner to be socially participative. It also promoted balancing skills, aim and accuracy. It helped to improve gross motor skills, balance, and coordination. Trying to balance the ball while walking encouraged cognitive development. The activity was filled with laughter, excitement, and a sense of achievement as learners successfully balanced the ball and put it in the basket.
Getting to know self..
Rejoice in the wonders of your body
The senses of our body are vital to experience the world around us. Our EY2 learners were given an opportunity to explore their 5 senses during our homeroom activity. The learners were encouraged to see, hear, feel, smell different objects and taste their food to understand the 5 senses. The learners saw the different shapes, sizes and patterns of different objects. They felt the objects and learnt about the different textures. They were encouraged to listen to various sounds around them. They were given the opportunity to smell flowers to understand the sense of smell and they had the food they brought to understand the difference in the taste of different food items. Learning about the 5 senses has helped our learners to know about their bodies and has helped them develop their senses towards new experiences.

Wiggly worms
EY2 Learners participated in a fun experiment to create colourful wiggly worms. They placed the tissue paper worm on a table and dropped a few drops of water on the worm using a dropper. Learners enjoyed watching the tissue paper worms wiggle and grow. This activity helps in developing fine motor skills and reinforcing their measuring skills.
Flowery fun!
Exploring nature helps us to learn about the different areas that are related to plants and trees and working in groups helps the little ones develop socio-emotional and conversation skills. Our learners were engaged in an activity wherein they prepared a Sun and a few flowers in this group activity. This encouraged them to work with their peers and helped in social development. Apart from this it also helped them to recognize and learn new colours, it further helped in developing fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination.
