I know my phonics sounds......
Phonics is an approach to teaching some aspects of literacy, by developing learner's knowledge and understanding of the relationship between written symbols and sounds. This involves the skills of hearing, identifying and using the patterns of sound to read and write the language. Here our K1 learners were encouraged to choose a letter, say it's phonic sound & stick the piece on the paper & then draw some object related to it.

Let's Count Backwards....
By counting backwards, the brain is given a task to focus on something that is not related to anxious thoughts. Apart from mastering numeracy skills, this can help to clear the mind of anxiety, allowing the young learners to stay focused and calm. By counting backwards the learners are actually keeping their thoughts in the conscious part of the brain. Our learners counted backwards numbers with the help of a gross motor activity where they jumped on the numbers as they counted themĀ from 20 to 11.

How is that?
Playing with ball improves coordination and timing. It helps the learners to keep a healthy weight and a good level of fitness and is great for making muscles and bones stronger. Ball play builds hand-eye coordination, gross and fine motor skills, spatial awareness, grasping skills, problem-solving skills, balance, and even language and social skills. Here are the glimpses of our learners engrossed in the throw and catch activity.
