Wooly lines and letters
Letter formation is a stepping stone that children need to develop their handwriting. Regular opportunities to build upon and develop this skill will help kids in their efforts to learn good letter formation. Nursery learners were introduced to the letter Mm in the class. They tried their hands at cutting wool with scissors which made them confident in using child-friendly scissors. They also formed the letter Mm by using the wool cutouts. It was an engaging activity where learners explored different ways to form a letter!

Dan searching for letter Dd
The teacher introduced letter D by enacting out a short story 'Dan's day at home with Dad' wherein Dan had to clean his wardrobe full of toys. Our learners were then encouraged to help Dan to arrange his toys. Learners were then excited to pick an object and name the picture, correspondingly say the sound out loud.

STREAM
RUSTY ROBOT
Sequencing is one of those STREAM skills that is fundamental to our kindergarten learners. The sky's the limit when it comes to building with blocks. Putting a story into the sequence using colourful blocks is a vital skill kindergartener must learn.
Our nursery learners listened to the story “RUSTY ROBOT” and sequenced the colourful blocks in a tower formation according to the colours they heard in the story. This activity not only helps little learners to remember the sequence and identify colours but also develops fine motor precision and refined grasp to place blocks.
Making the robot was fun!
ART
The Atelier Approach lays a solid foundation for lifelong learning and appreciation of the arts. Exploring a variety of materials to express creative abilities helps foster sensorial and cognitive abilities. Our nursery learners expressed themselves by creating unique drawings on OHP sheets. They were curious to explore this new surface for drawing. They created various lines and shapes on the OHP sheet.
