I currently accept Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, United/UMR, Aetna, Cigna, Oxford, and Oscar.
Fear not! If I don't take your insurance, check with your provider about your out-of-network benefits. Ask if you might be eligible for some form of reimbursement for seeing an out-of-network provider, where you would pay up-front and your insurance would reimburse you.
For individuals, the initial intake session is $125 and following individual appointments are $115.
For couples, sessions are $150.
At this time, I only offer virtual therapy. I utilize a HIPAA compliant Zoom video for all of my sessions.
Well, considering you're on this website, I'd say it's the perfect time.
You do not need to wait until things are "bad enough." Your concerns are valid, and worth being addressed. We can always find reasons to put things off - too busy, too tired, finances could be better, maybe when the kids are in high school, etc etc. Don't let those thoughts get in the way of taking care of your mental well-being!
That's fine! You can email me instead! But seriously, reaching out is tough whether you're new to therapy or a seasoned client. If you're able to make the jump to contact me, I'll help ya with the rest.

Okay, going into therapy can be tough, I won't lie. However! It can also be illuminating, empowering, and fun. Therapy does not have to be "doom and gloom" all the time. During our sessions, we focus on you and whatever is important to you. So many of us do not truly have time to focus on ourselves and our needs. Therapy offers that to you.
Here's some questions I get...
"Will I cry?" Yeah, there's a good chance.
"Don't other people have it worse than me?" That doesn't matter. What matters is that you have space to better your own life, regardless of what anyone else has going on. Comparing traumas isn't helpful for anyone.
"Will I feel worse after some sessions?" That's a very distinct possibility, but this is often a sign that you are doing the deep work that will lead you where you want to go.
"Will my life get better?" That is up to you, but I'd be willing to say yes.
It's time to invest in yourself and your mental health.
Choose yourself. No one else will do it for you.
