Creative Writing Due Friday 09/06/23
Your task is to write a short piece of creative nonfiction that would be suitable for publishing in The Spinoff Magazine. You will draw upon your personal experiences, using literary techniques, to tell a larger story. You have between 500 and 1,500 words.
You can draw upon your process diary for inspiration.
We will be workshopping in small groups in Week 5, so make sure you are comfortable sharing your subject matter with a small group of your peers and your teacher.
You must submit your first draft and final version for marking in order to meet the requirements of the standard.
We will be exploring the work of Valeria Luiselli, Leslie Jamison, Alexander Chee, Rebecca Solnit, E.J. Koh, and Haruki Murakami as examples of outstanding creative nonfiction.
