Title pages are not especially difficult to make, but you need to follow specific guidelines and be thoughtful about your choice of fonts, spacing and imagery.
Using google slides, create a new slide deck and name it with your initials, followed by Careers. Follow the guidelines below, and add some creativity to make it personal to you:
Your heading ‘Careers' should be centered and the largest item on the page
Your name must also be a key focus of your title page, and usually sits beneath the heading
Supporting images and texts are unique to your interests, hobbies and passions
Fonts must be readable and appropriate to the nature of the task
Be creative! This slide deck is all about you and what you are interested in doing in the future.
A personalised bio or ‘about’ section is a great way to express to people who you are and what you do. Whether your bio is for a college application, a professional website, or a social media account, take your time and be thoughtful about what you write so you get the right message across.
Your bio or ‘about me’ includes a current and appropriate picture of yourself (this can be a professional picture or a picture of you enjoying a hobby)
Your bio shares information relevant to you such as your age, year level and current school
It is common for people to share their interests and activities they enjoy, e.g. playing rugby, reading or music
Identifying your strengths can be a challenge for most people. A great way to start is to think about what you enjoy doing, as most people enjoy doing what they are good at. Another way you can find some of your strengths is to ask others around you, such as friends, family, and teachers, for feedback. It is important to ask them to be honest with you about what they think your strengths are.
Record your strengths based on what you enjoy doing and what you know you are good at
Ask at least 3 friends what they honestly believe your strengths are, and record them as feedback
