"North Star to Nanooks"

The Vision and Mission of "North Star to Nanooks"

The Fairbanks North Star Borough School District (FNSBSD) is excited to partner with the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) in the “North Star To Nanooks ~ An Early Campus Experience”, a new effort to promote early awareness of college opportunities for elementary students enrolled in the FNSBSD, by providing them with access to our own local university campus. Through this project, 3rd and 4th grade students from local schools will gain exposure to the UAF campus through field trip extensions and targeted tours hosted by UAF Student Ambassadors.  This project is a combined effort between UAF and FNSBSD. Our shared goal is to encourage students to dream big and envision themselves on a post-secondary campus, here or anywhere.
