Each "North Star to Nanook ~ Early Campus Experience" will be unique and different, while focused on providing elements that will help students be both excited and reassured about what college life has to offer. If your class is coming for a planned academic field trip, their campus experience might happen before or after. Here are some sample itineraries:

- Bus picks students and chaperones up at school and takes them to UAF Campus - drops class off at Museum of the North
- Morning visit to Museum of the North as part of animal science unit (planned and hosted by classroom teacher)
- Walk or shuttle to Wood Center for Lunch and Q & A with Student Ambassador
- Walk with Student Ambassador to Davis Concert Hall for a tour of Art & Music Department.
- Walk back to Wood Center to meet bus for pick-up and return to school.

- Bus picks students and chaperones up at school and takes them to UAF Campus - drops students off at Margaret Murie Science Building.
- A Graduate student or Professor give a tour, provide some interactive opportunities and answer questions.
- Following the tour, UAF Student Ambassador meets the class at the Wood Center for lunch and Q & A about campus life. .
- Class meet their bus at Wood Center to return to school.
*All specifics to be determined upon scheduling.

A visit to the Wood Center allows students to experience what a student center has to offer; from healthy and familiar foods, to social opportunities, entertainment and convenient health and wellness support. Students can eat their sack lunches in the Wood Center and visit with a Student Ambassador.

Students might be curious about where college kids live, study and sleep. A visit to a sample dorm room helps students imagine themselves living on a college campus some day.
