Welcome to Art 2!

Art 2 is a deeper dive for students who have completed Art 1. This year students tackle more advanced observational drawing including foreshortening and chiaroscuro, explore printmaking and mark-making, study color theory in depth, and take on themes like art as activism. The year also includes a 3D project, mixed media work, and portfolio reviews each semester.

Students work in their sketchbooks at the start of every class, and each finished piece is documented in a digital portfolio with a written artist statement.
